“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
— Dorothea Lange

I fell in love with photography nearly twenty years ago and absorbed as much of it as possible while acquiring my journalism degree from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). While I never intended to work in a newsroom, photojournalism classes helped me learn to tell a meaningful and emotional story with my photos. For this reason, I will only take a few "standard" photos of smiling faces looking at the camera and prefer to capture those special, honest moments of my subjects interacting with one another.

Currently, I'm a stay-at-home mom to a beautiful little girl who teaches me to live in the moment every day. In my spare time I enjoy journaling, cooking, and spending time in nature with my husband and daughter.
